Verde Steak Fajitas

Marinate your flank steak in our HERDEZ TAQUERIA STREET SAUCE® Original Verde for an easy but flavor-packed fajita recipe!

Ingredients

  • 1-pound flank steak
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 bottle HERDEZ TAQUERIA STREET SAUCE® Original Verde Mild
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 1 orange bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 tablespoon fajita seasoning
  • 8 fajita style flour tortillas

Directions

  1. Season steak with salt and pepper, then add to large plastic bag. Pour in HERDEZ TAQUERIA STREET SAUCE® Original Verde Mild and seal the bag. Make sure meat is coated in sauce, then refrigerate 2 hours.
  2. In large skillet heat oil over medium high heat. Cook steak 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway (or until internal temperature reaches 135°).
  3. Remove meat and let rest in foil. Add onion and bell peppers to same skillet. Add remaining HERDEZ TAQUERIA STREET SAUCE® Original Verde Mild from marinade bag. Add lime juice and fajita seasonings. Cook vegetables over medium high heat about 5-10 minutes.
  4. Slice steak and serve with peppers and onions, tortillas, HERDEZ® Guacamole Salsa, cotija cheese and cilantro.
